Thanks for the criticism, I agree on the team-based raids/PvMing. It'd be hard to implement much on the economy side now with a good amount of players already maxed or near maxed, but I enjoy the grinding servers. Though a lot are P2W and I'm trying to find another avenue for the owner to make more from donations. I feel like the burn out rate is higher on the fast paced eco/servers because once you have everything there isn't much of a reason to play unless new content is constantly put in. Also cash is already worthless because of the amount of crap, not just rares, already pumped into the eco. But it's just how people like to play.

I don't really agree with PvM keys or really any of the keys. The outfit key is sorta alright but there is already clue scrolls that reward the same stuff.

I really just made this entire post to point out the fact that Dragonhide Chaps (t) are worn in the weapons slot.

Server Improvement
  • Bugs:
    • Dragonhide Chaps (t) are worn in the weapons equipment slot.
  • Trivia:
    • Allow players to not have to wait for three people to vote to vote in the next trivia. I constantly get "already answered".
    • Remove Desert Boots from the Trivia Point Shop as these can easily be obtained from Bandits, or lower the point cost to 25 from 100.
  • Item Search:
    • There should be an option to search what NPCs drop certain items. Showing the NPC, and item amount/rarity.
  • Pest Control Timer:
    • Increase time out timer for Pest Control from ~1min to 3minutes. It's near impossible to solo with the current timer.
  • Dungeoneering:
    • Change after the boss is defeated from saying "exit the northern ladder" to "exit the eastern ladder" as there isn't a northern ladder.
    • Fixing Gateway stone to have the ability to teleport to it.
    • Additional skills utilized. Having the ability to fish, farm, make potions should be added while granting extra points that cap out at maybe 200 or 300 per non combat skill so it can't be farmed.
      This way skillers can train Dungeoneer and still make about 1.2k-1.8k points from using cooking, woodcutting, fishing, firemaking, farming and herblore.
    • Remove boss points from killing the Complexity Two boss (Phoenix) or change the boss to something else so you don't get boss points AND dung points.
    • The archer on top of the box in one of the rooms will drop items but they are stuck in the box and can not be obtained.
  • Hunter:
    • Add black chins and a wilderness teleport to hunt them at.



Economic Improvement
These suggestions are dependent on where the server is intended on going. These, I feel, will promote donations because if the economy runs at a slower pace giving players more time in the mid range levels and gear for a while. Instead of every player being end game in an hour or so and boss grinding for top tier gear.
Giving minigames like Barrows, Pest Control, Warrior Guild, etc along with their equipment more of a demand and making end game gear more sought after as fewer players will be at the point to obtain it but more players will want it, more players will donate to get ahead of the grind.
The following are suggestions to remove some items from direct buying from shops and a buff that would balance out some of the removals.

  • Shops:
    • Pure Shop: Remove Tzhaar-ket-om, Dragon Scim and Dragon Dagger. These items are common during PvM and can be traded via player.
    • Magic Shop: Remove Runes to promote Runecrafting
    • Range Shop: Since players can't enchant bolts, it'd be hard to remove them, but there are monsters that drop these. I suggest adding enchanting bolts if possible since gem cutting is in game. Would also help for the crafting bottleneck if cutting gems again into bolt tips granted crafting xp.
      I do suggest removing the black d'hide and rely on players to craft it and trade it instead.
    • Melee Shop: Remove all Dragon, Tzhaar, Gmaul & Rune items and rely on players to craft or PvM for these drops.
    • Consumables Shop: This whole store, everything here can be crafted by players.
    • Boss Point Shop: Increase the cost by 15%, boss farming is a huge chunk of the economy and not great for long term server health.
  • Overall:
    • Slow down xp rates across the board, especially for combat. Give players a better sense of accomplishment for 99s, and Max. And make players actually use mid-tier gear for longer than 30 seconds.

Introductions / Howdy

Howdy, I'm Stephen.

I've been playing Runescape and private servers for around 14 years but have less free time as I take on the role of husband, dad and full time employee. I don't play OSRS as much as I used to, so I mainly get on private servers to kill time.

I'm currently getting my bachelors in computer science & business so I enjoy helping solve problems and coding. I've used my real world experience in economics and programming in the past to assist in the development of servers, but really just want to enjoy playing one for now.

My wife and I currently have a kid on the way and are looking into starting our own business so I may not be super active, but hopefully can become an established player as the server grows.
